Methods and systems of controlling an enterprise and for providing a
control architecture. In some embodiments, a multiple level business
model is used to define business processes, and control, regulate, or
synchronize those processes. Actual processes are generally executed at
lower levels, while control of the processes is carried out one level
higher. At an echelon two levels higher, coordination of the processes
based on objectives and available shared assets is carried out. A fourth
level may be used to provide planning and development, and a fifth level
may be used to set the objectives of an enterprise or enterprise unit.
Implementation of this model provides control and monitoring of value
production, performance measurement, and timely exchange of information
and instructions.
