A silylated resin suitable for use as an adhesive binder for composites and
in sealant and adhesive dental applications is represented by the general
formula (I):

R.sub.1 is an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aryl, hydrocarbon, or fluorocarbon
group;
R.sub.2 is the same as R.sub.1 or a different aliphatic, cycloaliphatic,
aryl, hydrocarbon, or fluorocarbon group;

M.sub.2 is the same as M.sub.1 or a different functional or nonfunctional
group selected from the group consisting of:

n is 1-3;
x is 1-20; and
y is 1-20;
which comprises the reaction product of the exchange reaction of a
hydroxylated, aminated, or carboxylated acrylic resin represented by the
general formula (II):

in which:
R.sub.4 is an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aryl, hydrocarbon, or fluorocarbon
group with one or more protic functional groups selected from the group
consisting of:
OH, N--H, and CO.sub.2 H
R.sub.5 is H or CH.sub.3 ; and
R.sub.6 is H or CH.sub.3 ;
with a trialkoxyorganosilane or triacyloxyorganosilane represented by the
general formula (III):

in which:
R.sub.7, R.sub.8, and R.sub.9 each is:

R.sub.10 is an aliphatic, or aryl group which can optionally be substituted
with a group from the group of an acrylic group, a methacrylic group, an
epoxy group, and a substituted amino, hydroxyl, or carboxylic acid group
such as an ester or an amide.
Una resina silylated conveniente para el uso como carpeta adhesiva para los compuestos y en usos dentales del sellante y del pegamento es representada por el fórmula general (i): ## del ## STR1 en cuál: R.sub.1 es un alifático, cycloaliphatic, aryl, hidrocarburo, o grupo del fluorocarbon; R.sub.2 es igual que R.sub.1 o un diverso alifático, cycloaliphatic, aryl, hidrocarburo, o grupo del fluorocarbon; ## del ## STR2 M.sub.2 es igual que M.sub.1 o un diverso grupo funcional o no funcional seleccionado de consistir en el grupo: ## del ## STR3 n es 1-3; x es 1-20; y y es 1-20; cuál abarca el producto de la reacción de la reacción del intercambio de una haber hidroxilado, aminated, o carboxylated la resina de acrílico representada por el fórmula general (ii): ## del ## STR4 en cuál: R.sub.4 es un alifático, cycloaliphatic, aryl, hidrocarburo, o grupo del fluorocarbon con unos o más grupos funcionales protic seleccionados de consistir en el grupo: El OH, el N--H, y CO.sub.2 H R.sub.5 es H o CH.sub.3; y R.sub.6 es H o CH.sub.3; con un trialkoxyorganosilane o un triacyloxyorganosilane representado por el fórmula general (iii): ## del ## STR5 en cuál: R.sub.7, R.sub.8, y R.sub.9 cada uno es: ## del ## STR6 R.sub.10 es un grupo que se puede substituir opcionalmente con un grupo del grupo de un grupo de acrílico, un grupo methacrylic, un grupo de epoxy, y un amino substituida, un oxhidrilo, o un grupo alifático, o aryl del ácido carboxylic tal como un éster o una amida.
