The present invention relates to the design, synthesis, and the peptidyl-prolyl isomerase (PPIase or rotamase) inhibitory activity of novel pyrrolidinemethyl diamide and carbamate compounds that are neurotrophic agents (i.e. compounds capable of stimulating growth or proliferation of nervous tissue) and that bind to immunophilins such as FKBP12 and inhibit their rotamase activity. This invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds.

De onderhavige uitvinding heeft op het ontwerp, synthese, en de peptidyl-prolylisomerase (PPIase of rotamase) remmende activiteit van nieuwe pyrrolidinemethyldiamide en carbamate samenstellingen betrekking die neurotrophic agenten zijn (d.w.z. samenstellingen geschikt om de groei of proliferatie van zenuwachtig weefsel te bevorderen) en die aan immunophilins zoals FKBP12 binden en hun rotamaseactiviteit remmen. Deze uitvinding heeft ook op farmaceutische samenstellingen betrekking bestaand uit deze samenstellingen.
