A new and distinct cultivar of Poinsettia plant named `Eckabig`, characterized by its large showy dark red bracts; early flowering, response time about 8 weeks; dark green leaves with red purple petioles; upright and freely branching plant habit; and excellent postproduction longevity.

Un cultivar nuevo y distinto de la planta del poinsettia nombró el ` Eckabig`, caracterizado por sus brácteas rojo oscuro llamativas grandes; temprano floreciendo, tiempo de reacción cerca de 8 semanas; hojas verde oscuro con los petioles púrpuras rojos; hábito de planta vertical y libremente de ramificación; y longevidad excelente del postproduction.
