The present invention is a lubricant oil composition comprising a base oil as the major component which contains aromatic compounds at 1 wt % or less and paraffin and monocyclic naphthene compounds at 50 wt % or more as total content, and has a kinematic viscosity of 2 to 50 mm.sup.2 /s at 100.degree. C. and evaporated quantity of 16 wt % or less by the NOACK volatility test.

De onderhavige uitvinding is een smeeroliesamenstelling die uit een basisolie bestaat als de belangrijkste component die aromatische samenstellingen bij 1 % gew. of minder en paraffine en monocyclic nafteensamenstellingen bij 50 % gew. of meer als totale inhoud, bevat en/s een kinematische viscositeit van 2 tot 50 mm.sup.2 bij 100.degree. C. en verdampte hoeveelheid van 16 % gew. of minder door de NOACK vluchtigheidstest heeft.
