over penetration in a weapon. A frangible shotshell payload comprising a
cup having a portion divided into petals, a payload having a mass disposed
in the cup and a cap disposed at, and melted into, tips of the petals. The
frangible shotshell may include a cup or wad formed from high density
polyethylene. The cap may be formed from a disc of low density
polyethylene having a diameter of 0.625".
