In a method of improving the control behavior of an ABS control system in corners, a special control mode or rather a corner control mode is put into operation instead of the standard control mode when a cornering situation is identified, said special control mode or corner control mode causing a reduction of the braking pressure on the front wheel and/or on the rear wheel on the inside of the curve. When, in the partial braking range, a threshold value (th) of a wheel speed difference is exceeded, which difference is the difference between the side sums formed from the speeds of the two wheels of one vehicle side there will be a braking pressure reduction on the front wheel and/or on the rear wheel on the inside of the curve until there is again a drop below the threshold value (th,th.sub.H) and, additionally, below a hysteresis band (H). En un método de mejorar el comportamiento del control de un sistema de control del ABS en esquinas, un modo especial del control o un modo de la esquina del control se pone algo en la operación en vez del modo estándar del control cuando se identifica una situación que arrincona, del modo especial dicho del control o del modo del control de la esquina que causa una reducción de la presión de los frenos en la rueda delantera y/o en la rueda posterior en el interior de la curva. Cuando, en la gama que frena parcial, un valor de umbral (th) de una diferencia de la velocidad de la rueda se excede, que la diferencia es la diferencia entre las sumas laterales formadas de las velocidades de las dos ruedas de un vehículo lateral allí será una reducción de la presión de los frenos en la rueda delantera y/o en la rueda posterior en el interior de la curva hasta que hay otra vez una gota debajo del valor de umbral (th, th.sub.H) y, además, debajo de una venda de la histéresis (h).
