There is provided compounds of formula I, ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents C.sub.3-5 alkyl; and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently represent C.sub.1-3 alkyl; provided that when R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 both represent ethyl, then R.sup.1 does not represent n-butyl, i-butyl or n-pentyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which are useful as anaesthetics, in particular local anaesthetics and especially topically applied local anaesthetics.

Ci sono residui forniti della formula I, ## del ## STR1 in cui R.sup.1 rappresenta l'alchile C.sub.3-5; e R.sup.2 e R.sup.3 rappresentano indipendentemente l'alchile C.sub.1-3; a condizione che quando R.sup.2 e R.sup.3 entrambi rappresentano l'etile, quindi R.sup.1 non rappresenta n-butilico, io-butilico o l'n-amile; o un sale farmaceuticamente accettabile di ciò, che sono utili come anestetici, in particolare anestetici locali e particolarmente anestetici locali d'attualità applicati.
