A fragrance releasing siloxane comprising a substituent having the formula (R.sup.1 O).sub.a (R.sup.2 O).sub.b (R.sup.3 O).sub.c (R.sup.4 O).sub.d (R.sup.5 O).sub.e SiR.sup.U with R.sup.U a two to forty atom divalent hydrocarbon radical where R.sup.1 O, R.sup.2 O and R.sup.3 O are each independently fragrant alkoxide moieties, derived from the alcohols R.sup.1 OH, R.sup.2 OH and R.sup.3 OH wherein R.sup.1 OH, R.sup.2 OH and R.sup.3 OH are independently fragrant alcohols with R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 selected from the group consisting of monovalent hydrocarbon radicals having from one to forty carbon atoms and monovalent alkoxy radicals having from one to forty carbon atoms, where the subscript a has a value ranging from 1 to 3 and the subscripts b, c, d, and e have values ranging from 0 to 2 subject to the limitation that a+b+c+d+e=3.

Un parfum libérant le siloxane comportant un substituant ayant la formule (R.sup.1 O).sub.a (R.sup.2 O).sub.b (R.sup.3 O).sub.c (R.sup.4 O).sub.d (R.sup.5 O).sub.e SiR.sup.U avec R.sup.U un radical d'hydrocarbure bivalent de deux à quarante atomes où R.sup.1 O, R.sup.2 O et R.sup.3 O sont des parties indépendamment parfumées de chaque alcoxide, dérivé des alcools R.sup.1 OH, des R.sup.2 OH et des R.sup.3 OH où R.sup.1 OH, R.sup.2 OH et R.sup.3 OH sont indépendamment les alcools parfumés avec R.sup.4 et R.sup.5 choisis dans le groupe des radicaux d'hydrocarbure monovalents ayant d'un à quarante atomes de carbone et des alcoxy radicaux monovalents ayant d'un à quarante atomes de carbone, à où l'indice inférieur a a une valeur s'étendre de 1 3 et les indices inférieurs b, c, d, et e ont des valeurs s'étendre de 0 à 2 sujet à la limitation qui a+b+c+d+e=3.
