A self-contained apparatus which will detect the presence of moisture at floor level--such as on a basement floor--or below floor level--such as the level of water in a sump. The apparatus is battery powered and foldable, with a pair of moisture sensing electrodes located at the end of a sensor arm that is hingedly connected to a base. A mast is hingedly connected at the other end of the base, and in its erected condition, all of the operating and alarm circuits of the moisture sensing apparatus are located at a distance above the floor. When the sensor arm extends downwardly into a sump, if the moisture rises in the sump well higher than a predetermined level, an alarm will be given.

Un apparecchio autonomo che rileverà la presenza di umidità al livello del pavimento -- quale sopra un pavimento dello scantinato -- o sotto il livello del pavimento -- quale il livello di acqua in un pozzetto. L'apparecchio è batteria autoalimentata e pieghevole, con un accoppiamento di umidità che percepisce gli elettrodi situati all'estremità di un braccio del sensore che è collegato su cardini ad una base. Un albero è collegato su cardini all'altra estremità della base e nel relativo stato eretto, tutto il funzionamento ed i circuiti di allarme dell'umidità che percepisce l'apparecchio sono situati ad una distanza sopra il pavimento. Quando il braccio del sensore si estende in giù in un pozzetto, se l'umidità aumenta nel pozzo del pozzetto più superiore ad un livello predeterminato, un allarme sarà dato.
