A device for quickly loading a muzzle-loaded firearm comprises a casing having a stepped bore disposed therethrough. The stepped bore includes a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion. An adjustment rod has a rear end threaded into the small diameter portion. The front end of the adjustment rod is formed with a bore to accommodate a surface portion of a bullet. A locknut is provided to lock the adjustment rod at a pre-determined setting in the casing. The device is used, in a first position, to initially insert the bullet into the barrel of the firearm. In a second position the device is used in conjunction with a ramrod to position a bullet/powder charge at the optimum firing depth in the barrel.

Een apparaat om een snuit-geladen vuurwapen snel te laden bestaat uit een omhulsel dat gestapt heeft droeg daardoor geschikt. Gestapt droeg omvat een klein diametergedeelte en een grote diametergedeelte. Een aanpassingsstaaf heeft een achtereind dat in het kleine diametergedeelte wordt ingepast. Het vooreind van de aanpassingsstaaf wordt met droeg gevormd om een oppervlaktegedeelte van een kogel aan te passen. Een borgmoer wordt verstrekt om de aanpassingsstaaf bij het vooraf bepaalde plaatsen in het omhulsel te sluiten. Het apparaat wordt gebruikt, in een eerste positie, om de kogel in het vat van het vuurwapen aanvankelijk op te nemen. In een tweede positie wordt het apparaat gebruikt samen met ramrod om een kogel/poederlast bij de optimale vurendiepte in het vat te plaatsen.
