A polymer blend comprising a polyester, a polyfunctional acid anhydride wherein said polyfunctional acid anhydride has a functionality as described herein of three or more, and a polyhydric alcohol or precursor thereto wherein said polyhydric alcohol has a functionality of three or more, and wherein said molar ratio of said polyfunctional acid anhydride to the polyhydric alcohol or precursor thereto is in the range of 0.5:1 to (10.times.C):1, where C is the number of moles of alcohol or equivalent in the polyhydric alcohol or precursor thereto.

Eine Polymer-Plastik Mischung, die ein Polyester, ein polyfunctional saures Anhydrid enthält, worin besagtes polyfunctional saures Anhydrid eine Funktionalität hat, wie von drei hierin beschrieben oder mehr und ein Polywasserstoffspiritus oder ein Vorläufer dazu, worin besagter Polywasserstoffspiritus eine Funktionalität von drei hat oder mehr und worin besagtes molares Verhältnis besagtes polyfunctional des sauren Anhydrids zum Polywasserstoffspiritus oder zum Vorläufer dazu in der Strecke 0.5:1 ist (10.times.C):1, wo C die Zahl der Molen von Spiritus oder des Äquivalents im Polywasserstoffspiritus oder im Vorläufer dazu ist.
