A therapeutic ankle and foot apparatus having a contact sensor mechanism.
The sensor mechanism comprising a contact switch disposed between an ankle
and foot apparatus and the heel of a patient's foot. The contact sensor
mechanism determines any proximal contact with the patient's heel and
communicates with an activation indicator that contact is present. The
activation indicator may be visual and/or audible, and it may be
positioned on the apparatus or at a remote location, communicating by wire
or wireless telecommunication linkage.
