A container having a window for viewing the product contained therein and an associated method of manufacture is provided. The container is constructed of at least one body ply and a liner ply. The body ply defines at least one aperture therethrough such that when the body ply is wrapped into a tubular shape the aperture forms a window through the body ply into the container. The liner ply extends across the aperture in the body ply and has a sufficiently low opacity that allows the product in the container to be viewed through the window. The liner ply provides a moisture and gas barrier inside the container around the product. The container may include a label ply. The label ply defines at least one aperture therethrough. The cutting of the at least one aperture in the label ply is registered. The body ply defines at least one aperture therethrough corresponding to the at least one aperture in the label ply. The body ply is wrapped around the previously wrapped liner ply on the mandrel and then the label ply is wrapped around the previously wrapped body ply and liner ply so that the apertures in the label ply are aligned with apertures in the body ply to create a tubular shape having a viewing window through both body plies.

Een container die een venster voor het bekijken van het daarin bevatte product en een bijbehorende methode van vervaardiging heeft wordt verstrekt. De container wordt geconstrueerd van minstens één lichaamsvouw en een voeringsvouw. De lichaamsvouw bepaalt daardoor minstens één opening dusdanig dat wanneer de lichaamsvouw in een tubulaire vorm wordt verpakt de opening een venster door de lichaamsvouw in de container vormt. De voeringsvouw breidt zich over de opening in de lichaamsvouw uit en heeft een voldoende lage opaciteit die het product in de container om door het venster toelaat worden bekeken. De voeringsvouw verstrekt een vochtigheid en gasbarrière binnen de container rond het product. De container kan een etiketvouw omvatten. De etiketvouw bepaalt daardoor minstens één opening. Het knipsel van de minstens één opening in de etiketvouw wordt geregistreerd. De lichaamsvouw bepaalt minstens één opening die daardoor aan de minstens één opening in de etiketvouw beantwoordt. De lichaamsvouw is verpakt rond de eerder verpakte voeringsvouw op de doorn en dan is de etiketvouw verpakt rond de eerder verpakte lichaamsvouw en voeringsvouw zodat de openingen in de etiketvouw worden gericht op openingen in de lichaamsvouw om tot een tubulaire vorm te leiden die een het bekijken venster heeft door beide lichaamsvouwen.
