A good yield, high reaction rate process is disclosed for the production of
perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ethers). The process involves elimination of
halogen, preferably chlorine, from carbon atoms .alpha. and .beta. to an
ether oxygen in an .alpha.,.beta.-dihaloperfluoro ether wherein the
.alpha.,.beta.-dihaloperfluoro ether is allowed to react with zero valent
zinc in a pyrrolidinone solvent. More particularly, the inventive process
relates to high yield production of CF.sub.2.dbd.CFOCF.sub.2 CF.sub.2
SO.sub.2 F from CF.sub.2 ClCFClOCF.sub.2 CF.sub.2 SO.sub.2 F wherein
CF.sub.2 ClCFClOCF.sub.2 CF.sub.2 SO.sub.2 F is allowed to react with zero
valent zinc in the presence of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone.
Um rendimento bom, processo elevado da taxa da reação é divulgado para a produção de ethers do vinil do perfluoro(alkyl).
