A lithium secondary battery electrolyte comprising a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt dissolved therein, said electrolyte containing at least one compound having the formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently indicate, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.12 alkyl group, a C.sub.3 to C.sub.6 cycloalkyl group, or an aryl group, x indicates an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, and n indicates an integer of 1 or 2; R.sup.3 --S--M (II) wherein, R.sup.3 indicates a C.sub.1 to C.sub.15 alkyl group or a C.sub.3 to C.sub.12 cycloalkyl group which may be substituted with at least one C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group, a C.sub.7 to C.sub.15 benzyl group which may be substituted with at least one C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group, or a C.sub.6 to C.sub.15 aryl group, which may be substituted with at least one C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group, M indicates an alkali metal, and R.sup.3 may be substituted with at least one halogen atom; and a lithium secondary battery using the same.

Un electrólito secundario de la batería del litio que abarcaba un solvente no acuoso y una sal del litio disolvió en esto, electrólito dicho que contenía por lo menos un compuesto que tenía el fórmula (i) o (ii): ## del ## STR1 en donde, R.sup.1 y R.sup.2 indican independientemente, un C.sub.1 al grupo alkyl C.sub.12, un C.sub.3 al grupo del cycloalkyl C.sub.6, o a un grupo aryl, x indica un átomo de oxígeno o un átomo del sulfuro, y n indica un número entero de 1 o 2; R.sup.3 -- s -- m (ii) en donde, R.sup.3 indica un C.sub.1 al grupo alkyl C.sub.15 o un C.sub.3 al grupo que se puede substituir con por lo menos un C.sub.1 al grupo alkyl C.sub.4, un C.sub.7 al grupo benzyl C.sub.15 que se puede substituir con por lo menos un C.sub.1 al grupo alkyl C.sub.4, o un C.sub.6 al grupo aryl C.sub.15, que se puede substituir con por lo menos un C.sub.1 al grupo alkyl C.sub.4, M del cycloalkyl C.sub.12 indica un metal alcalino, y R.sup.3 se puede substituir con por lo menos un átomo del halógeno; y una batería secundaria del litio usando igual.
