A system for transferring data into and out of medical devices wherein a personal data manager (PDM) is used in a web-based network is disclosed. The PDM co-operates with a programmer to enhance remote monitoring of implanted medical devices on a chronic basis to deliver clinical therapy in real time. The PDM is handheldable and mobile and expands the reach of the programmer by storing and forwarding data from the programmer to web-based network constituting a medical environment. The PDM is also implemented to store and forward information to PCs and similar peripheral equipment. In a specialized application, the PDM is configured to exchange data with the unregulated operational/functional segments of the IMD.

Un sistema para los datos de transferencia en y fuera de los dispositivos médicos en donde utilizan a un encargado personal de los datos (PDM) en una red tela-basada se divulga. El PDM coopera con un programador para realzar la supervisión alejada de dispositivos médicos implantados sobre una base crónica para entregar terapia clínica en tiempo real. El PDM es handheldable y móvil y amplía el alcance del programador por datos el almacenar y de la expedición del programador a la red tela-basada que constituye un ambiente médico. El PDM también se pone en ejecucio'n para almacenar y para remitir la información a las PC y al equipo periférico similar. En un uso especializado, el PDM se configura para intercambiar datos por los segmentos no regulados de operational/functional del IMD.
