Thermally stabilized initiator composition comprising: (a) at least one dialkyl peroxydicarbonate, and (b) a stabilizing effective amount of a compound of Structure I: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as defined in the summary of the invention section, processes for their preparation and use are disclosed.
