The invention encompasses a compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein at least one Q.sub.1, Q.sub.2, Q.sub.3 and Q.sub.4 is a halogen atom and any of Q.sub.1, Q.sub.2, Q.sub.3 and Q.sub.4 which is not a halogen atom is a hydrogen atom; and wherein R comprises at least two carbon atoms. The invention further encompasses inclusion of such compound into phase change ink carrier compositions, as well as printing methods utilizing such compound.
