A restraining hole for restraining a stopper piston is constituted by a straight hole having an axis perpendicular to the direction of a relative rotation of a vane rotor with respect to a shoe housing and a tapered hole formed on a deep side of the straight hole and reduced in diameter on a deep side thereof. According to this construction, by virtue of a wedge effect between the tapered hole and the stopper piston, a relative rotation between a driving shaft system and a driven shaft system can be restrained at a predetermined angular position and it is possible to suppress the occurrence of a striking sound.

Un foro trattenente per trattenere un pistone del tappo è costituito da un foro diritto che hanno una perpendicolare di asse al senso di una rotazione relativa di un rotore dell'aletta riguardo ad un alloggiamento del pattino e da un foro affusolato formato da un lato profondo del foro diritto e ridotto di diametro da un lato profondo di ciò. Secondo questa costruzione, in virtù di un effetto del cuneo fra il foro affusolato ed il pistone del tappo, una rotazione relativa fra un sistema dell'albero di azionamento e un sistema dell'albero guidato può essere trattenuta ad una posizione angolare predeterminata ed è possibile sopprimere il caso di un suono notevole.
