Oxime compounds of formula (1) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 are independently halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 halolalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 haloalkoxy, nitro, or cyano; R.sup.4 is 3,3-dihalogeno-2-propenyl; a is an integer of 0 to 2; Y is oxygen, sulfur, or NH; Z is oxygen, sulfur, or NR.sup.5 wherein R.sup.5 is hydrogen, acetyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl; and X is of formula (2) ##STR2## insecticidal/acaricidal agents containing them as active ingredients; and intermediates for their production.
