The present invention is directed to energy-efficient, photoinitiators
having the general formula:

wherein Z each independently represent

wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7,
R.sub.8 are as defined in claim 1, and wherein R.sub.9 represents
(R.sub.10).sub.2 O or (R.sub.10).sub.3 N; wherein R.sub.10 represents H or
an alkyl group having from one to eight carbon atoms; and wherein R.sub.11
represents H, an alkyl group having from one to eight carbon atoms, a
benzyl group or an aralkyl group. The present invention is also directed
to a method of generating a reactive species, methods of polymerizing
polymerizable materials, methods of curing an unsaturated oligomer/monomer
mixture, and methods of laminating using the photoinitiators of the
present invention. In addition, the present invention is directed to ink
compositions, adhesive compositions and resins, and methods of printing
using the above-described photoinitiators.
La présente invention est dirigée vers de rendement optimum, photoinitiators ayant la formule générale : ## du ## STR1 où Z chacun représente indépendamment le ## du ## STR2 où R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8 sont comme définis dans la revendication 1, et où R.sub.9 représente (R.sub.10).sub.2 O ou (R.sub.10).sub.3 N ; où R.sub.10 représente H ou un groupe alcoyle ayant d'un à huit atomes de carbone ; et où R.sub.11 représente H, un groupe alcoyle ayant d'un à huit atomes de carbone, un groupe benzylique ou un groupe d'aralkyl. La présente invention est également dirigée vers une méthode de produire des espèces réactives, des méthodes de polymériser les matériaux polymerizable, des méthodes de traiter un mélange insaturé d'oligomer/monomer, et des méthodes de stratification en utilisant les photoinitiators de la présente invention. En outre, la présente invention est dirigée pour encrer des compositions, des compositions et des résines adhésives, et des méthodes d'impression en utilisant les photoinitiators décrits ci-dessus.
