This invention comprises the synthesis and the use of a new class of
cisplatin analogs. These analogs are complexes formed between
tetrachloroplatinum (II) and triethylenetetraamine or its derivatives. The
stoichiometric ratio between cisplatin and triethylenetetraamine or its
derivatives is between 0.4:1 to 0.5:0.8. The complexes are to be used in
cancer treatment; they may also be used to treat AIDS patients.
