A corner join in a box is formed from a blank having a base section (2) and two side wall panels (4, 6) each joined thereto via a fold line (3, 5). A joining flap (15) is joined to one of the side wall panels (6) via a fold line (7). The fold line of the joining flap (15) essentially defines the corner, and the point of intersection of the three fold lines (3, 5, 7) is located in the base panel approximately at the corner. The side wall panels are joined to one another by placing the joining flap in contact with the second side wall panel (4) such that it overlaps the later in an overlap area, and fixing it to the side wall panel.
