It is to provide a cyclic imide derivative which is useful as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition. A pharmaceutical composition which comprises, a cyclic imide derivative represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Q.sub.1 is a single bond, --CH.sub.2 --, --O--, --S-- or --NH--, each of Q.sub.2 and Q.sub.3 is --C(O)--, --C(S)-- or --CH.sub.2 --, provided that at least one of Q.sub.2 and Q.sub.3 is --C(O)-- or --C(S)--, Z is a single bond or a lower alkanediyl group, R is an aryl group which may be substituted or a cycloalkyl group which may be substituted, X is a nitro group, an amino group which may be acylated, a cyano group, a trifluoromethyl group, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or an alkylthio group, m is an integer of from 0 to 4, and when m is 2 or above, X may be the same or different, or its salt.

Es soll eine zyklische Imidableitung zur Verfügung stellen, die als Aktivsubstanz eines pharmazeutischen Aufbaus nützlich ist. Ein pharmazeutischer Aufbau, der enthält, eine zyklische Imidableitung stellte durch die allgemeine Formel (i) dar: ## STR1 ## worin Q.sub.1 eine einzelne Bindung ist, -- CH.sub.2 --. --O --. --S -- oder --NH --. je von Q.sub.2 und Q.sub.3 ist -- c(o) --. -- c(s) -- oder -- CH.sub.2 --., vorausgesetzt daß eins mindestens von Q.sub.2 und Q.sub.3 Ist -- c(o) -- oder -- c(s) --. Z ist eine einzelne Bindung oder eine unterere alkanediyl Gruppe, ist R eine Aryl- Gruppe, die ersetzt werden kann, oder eine cycloalkyl Gruppe, die ersetzt werden kann, X ist eine Nitrogruppe, eine Aminogruppe, die acyliert sein kann, eine Cyanogruppe, eine trifluoromethyl Gruppe, eine Hydroxylgruppe, ein Halogenatom, eine Alkylgruppe, eine alkoxy Gruppe oder von können 0 bis 4 und wenn m 2 oder oben ist, X dieselben oder das unterschiedlich sein oder sein Salz.
