Non-hydroxyalkylated cyclodextrins are disclosed wherein at least one primary alcohol function (CH.sub.2 OH) is substituted, the --OH portion being replaced by a substituent with formula --O--CO--R or --NR.sub.1 R.sub.2, where: R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent a linear or cyclic, saturated or unsaturated, hydroxylated or non-hydroxylated alkyl group containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms, preferably 1 to 22 carbon atoms, more preferably a fatty chain containing 2 to 22 carbon atoms. These cyclodextrins are used as vectors for at least one active ingredient, in particular to encourage tissue penetration, in a cosmetic application, or for the production of pharmaceutical compositions, in particular dermopharmaceuticals.

Niet-Hydroxyalkylated cyclodextrienen worden onthuld waarin minstens één primaire alcoholfunctie (CH.sub.2 OH) wordt gesubstitueerd, het gedeelte -OH die door een substituent met formule -- O wordt vervangen -- Co -- R of -- NR.sub.1 R.sub.2, waar: R, R.sub.1 en R.sub.2 vertegenwoordigen onafhankelijk een lineaire of cyclische, verzadigde of onverzadigde, hydroxylated of niet-hydroxylated alkyl groep die 1 tot 30 koolstofatomen, bij voorkeur 1 tot 22 koolstofatomen bevat, liever een vettige ketting die 2 tot 22 koolstofatomen bevat. Deze cyclodextrienen worden gebruikt als vectoren voor minstens één actief ingrediënt, in het bijzonder om weefselpenetratie aan te moedigen, in een kosmetische toepassing, of voor de productie van farmaceutische samenstellingen, in het bijzonder dermopharmaceuticals.
