The invention concerns immunogens, immunogenic compositions and method for the treatment of gastrin-dependent tumors. The immunogens comprise a peptide from the CCK-B/gastrin-receptor conjugated to a spacer and to an immunogenic carrier. The immunogens are capable of inducing antibodies in vivo which bind to the CCK-B/gastrin-receptor in tumor cells, thereby preventing growth stimulating peptide hormones from binding to the receptors, and inhibiting tumor cell growth. The immunogens also comprise antibodies against the CCK-B/gastrin-receptor for passive immunization. The invention also concerns diagnostic methods for detecting gastrin-dependent tumors in vivo or from a tissue biopsy using the antibodies of the invention.

L'invention concerne des immunogens, des compositions immunogènes et la méthode pour le traitement des tumeurs gastrin-dépendantes. Les immunogens comportent un peptide du CCK-B/gastrin-receptor conjugué à une entretoise et à un porteur immunogène. Les immunogens sont capables d'induire les anticorps in vivo qui lient au CCK-B/gastrin-receptor en cellules de tumeur, empêchant de ce fait les hormones stimulantes de peptide de croissance de lier aux récepteurs, et empêchant la croissance de cellules de tumeur. Les immunogens comportent également des anticorps contre le CCK-B/gastrin-receptor pour l'immunisation passive. L'invention concerne également des méthodes diagnostiques pour détecter les tumeurs gastrin-dépendantes in vivo ou d'une biopsie de tissu en utilisant les anticorps de l'invention.
