A process for the preparation of venlafaxin and/or the physiologically acceptable addition salts thereof that consists of reacting a compound of general formula (II) where R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl group of 3 to 6 atoms of carbon, with a organomagnesium compound of general formula (III) where X is an atom of halogen and, if desired, a salt of the thus obtained venlafaxin is formed by reaction thereof with a physiologically acceptable acid. ##STR1##

Ein Prozeß für die Vorbereitung von venlafaxin und/oder von physiologisch annehmbaren Hinzufügung Salzen davon, das aus dem Reagieren eines Mittels allgemeiner Formel (ii) besteht, in der R ein C.sub.1 - Gruppe des Alkyls C.sub.10, des Aryl, des aralkyl oder des cycloalkyl von 3 bis 6 Atomen Carbon, mit einem Organomanganmittel allgemeiner Formel (iii) ist, in der X ein Atom des Halogens ist und, wenn es gewünscht wird, ein Salz des folglich erreichten venlafaxin durch Reaktion davon mit einer physiologisch annehmbaren Säure gebildet wird. ## STR1 ##
