A method of treating pressurized drilling fluid returns from a well having a returns outlet. The method comprises the steps of providing a primary separator for selectively separating solid, liquid and gas components of the drilling fluid returns where the primary separator has an input for introducing drilling fluid returns thereto; providing a secondary separator for selectively separating at least a portion of a gas component in the drilling fluid returns where the secondary separator has an input for introducing drilling fluid returns thereto; connecting the input of the primary separator and the input of the secondary separator to the returns outlet of the well such that the input of the secondary separator is connected to the well returns outlet upstream of the input of the primary separator; providing a control to regulate the flow of drilling fluid returns through the input of the primary and secondary separators; monitoring the flow of the gas component of the drilling fluid returns expelled from the primary separator; and, in response to changes in the flow of gas expelled from the primary separator, operating the control to regulate the flow of drilling fluid returns through the primary and secondary separators to maintain the flow of gas expelled from the primary separator within predetermined parameters.

Een methode om onder druk gezette boringsvloeistof te behandelen keert van goed het hebben van een winst afzet terug. De methode bestaat uit de stappen van het verstrekken van een primaire separator voor selectief het scheiden van vast lichaam, vloeistof en gascomponenten van de winst van de boringsvloeistof waar de primaire separator een input voor daaraan het introduceren van de winst van de boringsvloeistof heeft; het verstrekken van een secundaire separator voor selectief het scheiden van minstens een gedeelte van een gascomponent in de boringsvloeistof keert terug waar de secundaire separator een input voor daaraan het introduceren van de winst van de boringsvloeistof heeft; het verbinden van de input van de primaire separator en de input van de secundaire separator met de winst afzet van de put dusdanig dat de input van de secundaire separator met de put wordt verbonden keert stroomopwaarts afzet van de input van de primaire separator terug; het verstrekken van een controle om de stroom van boringsvloeistof te regelen keert door de input van de primaire en secundaire separators terug; controlerend de stroom van de gascomponent van de winst van de boringsvloeistof die van de primaire separator wordt verdreven; en, in antwoord op veranderingen in de stroom van gas die van de primaire separator wordt verdreven, die de controle in werking stelt om de stroom te regelen van de winst van de boringsvloeistof door de primaire en secundaire separators om de stroom van gas te handhaven die van de primaire separator binnen vooraf bepaalde parameters wordt verdreven.
