A reinforced polypropylene mirror assembly, and process for making the same, are described. The mirror assembly, especially the components thereof, includes a long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene material. Additionally, various additives may also be included in the reinforced polypropylene material, such as a UV stabilizer. Because of the physical properties of the reinforced polypropylene material, it is possible to combined several individual components of a conventional automobile side view mirror assembly into single, integral components, thus reducing part content, vehicle weight, and construction costs.

Um conjunto reforçado do espelho do polypropylene, e o processo para fazer o mesmo, são descritos. O conjunto do espelho, especial os componentes disso, inclui um material reforçado longo do polypropylene da fibra de vidro. Adicionalmente, os vários aditivos podem também ser incluídos no material reforçado do polypropylene, tal como um estabilizador UV. Por causa das propriedades físicas do material reforçado do polypropylene, é possível a combinou diversos componentes individuais de um conjunto convencional do espelho da vista lateral do automóvel em únicos, componentes integrais, assim reduzindo o índice da parte, o peso do veículo, e os custos da construção.
