The invention is directed to gassing stabilized aqueous coating
compositions comprising
A) a metallic pigment and at least one reaction product of:
(a) 5 to 95 weight percent of a at least one phosphonic acid derivative
selected form compound I and II

wherein R.sup.1 is H or O.dbd.P(OH).sub.2 ; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are
independently H, OH or an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic
substituent having 1 to 25 carbon atoms and optionally up to 10
heteroatoms of at least one of oxygen and phosphorus; and R' is an
aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic substituent having 1 to 25 carbon
atoms and optionally up to 10 heteroatoms of at least one of oxygen and
phosphorus;
(b) 5 to 95 weight percent of a at least one compound having at least two
epoxy groups and a number average molecular weight Mn of 300 to 5000
g/mol; and
(c) 0 to 90 weight percent of a compound having one epoxy-functional group,
wherein the proportions by weight of components (a), (b) and (c) total 100
weight percent.
B) at least one metallic pigment.
De uitvinding wordt geleid aan het vergassen van gestabiliseerde waterige deklaagsamenstellingen bestaand A) uit een metaalpigment en uit minstens één reactieproduct van: (a) de 5 tot 95 gewichtenpercenten van een minstens één phosphonic zuur derivaat selecteerden ## STR1 ## van vormsamenstelling I en II waarin R.sup.1 H of O.dbd.P(OH).sub.2 is; R.sup.2 en R.sup.3 zijn onafhankelijk H, OH of een alifatische, cycloaliphatic en aromatische substituent die 1 tot 25 koolstofatomen en naar keuze tot 10 heteroatoms van minstens één van zuurstof en fosfor heeft; en R ' is een alifatische, cycloaliphatic en aromatische substituent die 1 tot 25 koolstofatomen en naar keuze tot 10 heteroatoms van minstens één van zuurstof en fosfor hebben; (b) 5 tot 95 gewichtenpercenten van een minstens één samenstelling minstens twee epoxygroepen hebben en een Mn die van het aantal gemiddeld moleculegewicht van 300 tot 5000 g/mol; en (c) 0 tot 90 gewichtenpercenten van een samenstelling die één epoxy-functionele groep hebben, waarin de aandelen bij het gewicht van componenten (a), (b) en (c) totale 100 gewichtenpercenten. B) minstens één metaalpigment.
