The invention relates to novel histidine derivatives corresponding to the general formula (I) below: ##STR1## in which: R denotes a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical containing from 6 to 22 carbon atoms, n is an integer ranging from 1 to 16, Q.sup.+ represents H.sup.+ or an organic or inorganic cation, and the addition salts with an acid. The invention also relates to a process for preparing the compounds of formula (I), as well as to the use of these compounds in cosmetics and pharmacy.

De uitvinding heeft op nieuwe histidinederivaten die aan de algemene formule (I) beantwoorden betrekking hieronder: ## STR1 ## in welke: Duidt lineair aan of vertakt r, verzadigd of de onverzadigde alkyl basis die van 6 tot 22 koolstofatomen bevat, n is een geheel dat zich van 1 tot 16 uitstrekt, Q.sup. + vertegenwoordigt H.sup. + of een organisch of anorganisch kation, en de toevoegingszouten met een zuur. De uitvinding heeft ook op een proces om de samenstellingen van formule (I) voor te bereiden, evenals op het gebruik van deze samenstellingen in schoonheidsmiddelen en apotheek betrekking.
