A method of inhibiting a physiological disorder associated with an excess of neuropeptide Y or its symptoms comprising administering to a human in need thereof an effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen, ##STR2## or ##STR3## wherein Ar is optionally substituted phenyl; R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of pyrrolidine, hexamethyleneamino, and piperidino; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of solvate thereof.

Un metodo di inibizione del disordine fisiologico si è associato con un eccesso di neuropeptide Y o i relativi sintomi che contengono amministrando ad un essere umano nel bisogno di ciò una quantità efficace di residuo che ha il ## del ## STR1 di formula in cui R.sup.1 e R.sup.3 sono indipendentemente idrogeno, ## del ## STR2 o ## del ## STR3 in cui Ar è facoltativamente fenile sostituito; R.sup.2 è scelto dalla pirrolidina, dal hexamethyleneamino e dal piperidino consistenti del gruppo; o un sale farmaceuticamente accettabile di solvate di ciò.
