An inclusion compound, which comprises a cyclodextrin or a branched cyclodextrin and a vanillyl alcohol derivative represented by the following formula (I) having been included therein: ##STR1## wherein, R represents a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group; and a composition containing the same. The inclusion compound exhibits remarkably reduce impure taste of VE and heightens its water solubility and stability. The inclusion compound considerably enhances and prolongs the pungent taste and warm-feeling imparting effect of VE per se and further increase and prolong the cool or refresh-feeling heightening effect of VE per se when used in combination with a refrigerant.

Un compuesto de la inclusión, que abarca un cyclodextrin o un cyclodextrin ramificado y un derivado del alcohol del vanillyl representó por el fórmula siguiente (i) que era incluido en esto: ## del ## STR1 en donde, R representa un grupo alkyl C.sub.1-6; y una composición que contiene igual. Los objetos expuestos del compuesto de la inclusión reducen notable el gusto impuro de VE y aumentan su solubilidad y estabilidad de agua. El compuesto de la inclusión realza y prolonga el gusto y la caliente-sensacio'n acres que imparten el efecto de VE por sí mismo y del aumento posterior y prolonga considerablemente el fresco o la restaurar-sensacio'n que aumenta el efecto de VE por sí mismo cuando está utilizado conjuntamente con un refrigerante.
