A (2-substituted oxyphenyl)alkanamide derivative or a salt thereof
expressed by the following Formula (I):

wherein one of A and B is a hydrocarbon group of C.sub.3-30 expressed by
R.sup.1 and the other is --(CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 ; Z is --CO-- or
--CONR.sup.6 --; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 individually represent H, lower alkyl
or benzyl, or --NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 may be a heterocycle having 3-7 members;
wherein --CONR.sup.5 --(CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 or --CONR.sup.6
--(CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 may be the following Group (II):

wherein ring Y is a heterocycle of 6 or 7 members; R.sup.4 is selected from
the group consisting of H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower acyl and etc;
R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are individually H, lower alkyl, lower acyl or lower
alkylcarbamoyl, or may form a part of said Group(II); 1 is 0 or 1; m is 1
or 2; and n is an integer of 0-5. The (2-substituted oxyphenyl)alkanamide
derivative or the salt thereof has excellent hair growth and regrowth
promoting effects, which are useful for care, improvement or prevention of
hair loss in mammals and, in particular, in human.
A (2-gesubstitueerd oxyphenyl)alkanamidederivaat of een zout dat daarvan door de volgende Formule (I) wordt uitgedrukt: ## STR1 ## waarin één van A en B een koolwaterstofgroep C.sub.3-30 die door R.sup.1 en andere wordt uitgedrukt is is -- (CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3; Z is MEDE -- of -- CONR.sup.6; R.sup.2 en R.sup.3 vertegenwoordigen individueel H, lagere alkyl of benzyl, of -- NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 kan een heterocycle zijn die 3-7 leden heeft; waarin -- CONR.sup.5 -- (CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 of -- CONR.sup.6 -- (CH.sub.2)n-NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 kan de volgende Groep (II) zijn: ## STR2 ## waarin de ring Y een heterocycle van 6 of 7 leden is; R.sup.4 wordt uit de groep geselecteerd die uit H, halogeen, lagere alkyl, lagere acyl en enz. bestaat; R.sup.5 en R.sup.6 zijn individueel H, lagere alkyl, lagere acyl of lagere alkylcarbamoyl, of kunnen een deel van bovengenoemde Groep (II) vormen; 1 is 0 of 1; m is 1 of 2; en n is een geheel van 0-5. (Het 2-gesubstitueerde oxyphenyl)alkanamidederivaat of het zout hebben daarvan de uitstekende haargroei en hernieuwde groei bevorderend gevolgen, die voor zorg, verbetering of preventie van haarverlies in zoogdieren en, in het bijzonder, in mens nuttig zijn.
