A process for separating nitrogen from a multicomponent gas mixture containing nitrogen and a hydrocarbon, such as natural gas or associated gas, using gas-separation membranes selective for nitrogen over the hydrocarbon. The membranes use a selective layer made from a polymer having repeating units of a fluorinated polymer, and demonstrate good resistance to plasticization by the organic components in the gas mixture under treatment, and good recovery after exposure to liquid aromatic hydrocarbons.

Ein Prozeß für das Trennen des Stickstoffes von einer Mehrkomponenten- Gasmischung, die Stickstoff enthält und des Kohlenwasserstoffs, wie Erdgas oder verbundenes Gas mit den Gas-Trennung Membranen vorgewählt für Stickstoff über dem Kohlenwasserstoff. Die Membranen verwenden eine vorgewählte Schicht, die von einem Polymer-Plastik gebildet wird, welches das Wiederholen der Maßeinheiten eines fluorierten Polymer-Plastiks hat und zeigen guten Widerstand zum plasticization durch die organischen Bestandteile in der Gasmischung unter Behandlung und gute Wiederaufnahme nach Belastung durch flüssige aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe.
