A method for assessing whether an animal has a total body fat or protein composition falling within a desired range, the method comprising the steps of: (a) obtaining a range of animal weight and a value selected from the group comprising pelvic height, frame score and animal size, such that animals having a weight and value within said range will have a total body fat or protein corresponding to the desired total body fat or protein, (b) measuring the pelvic height of said animal and if said value is frame score, further obtaining the age of the animal and calculating the frame score and where said value is animal size, further measuring the length of the animal and estimating the volume from the height and length measurements, (c) obtaining the weight of said animal and (d) comparing the value obtained in step (b) and the weight obtained in step (c) with the values obtained in step (a) and determining whether said obtained weight and value (c) and (d) fall within the range obtained in step (a) and if the obtained weight and value do fall within said range, then said animal has the desired body fat or protein composition.

Un metodo per valutare se un animale ha una composizione totale nel grasso o nella proteina di corpo che fa parte di una gamma voluta, il metodo che contiene i punti: (a) ottenendo una gamma di peso animale e di valore scelto dal gruppo che contiene il formato pelvico di altezza, del segno della struttura e dell'animale, tale che gli animali che hanno un peso e un valore all'interno di gamma detta avranno un grasso o una proteina che corrispondono al grasso di corpo totale voluto o una proteina totale di corpo, (b) misurando l'altezza pelvica dell'animale detto e se il valore detto è segno della struttura, ulteriore ottenendo l'età dell'animale e calcolando il segno della struttura e dove valore detto è formato animale, ulteriore misurando la lunghezza dell'animale e valutando il volume dalle misure di lunghezza e di altezza, (c) ottenendo il peso dell'animale detto e (d) confrontando il valore ottenuto nel punto (b) e nel peso ottenuto al punto (c) con i valori ottenuti in punto (a) e di animale di determinazione se il peso ed il valore ottenuti detti (c) e (d) fanno parte della gamma ottenuta al punto (a) e se il peso ed il valore ottenuti fanno parte di gamma detta, quindi detto ha la composizione voluta nel grasso o nella proteina di corpo.
