A method and apparatus for interfacing ADSL modems to a codec, wherein a total of four frame buffers are used for receiving and transmitting data from and to the codec. The present invention also enables interoperability between ADSL modems that use 128 tones and those that use 256 tones.

Um método e um instrumento para conectarar modem do ADSL a um codec, wherein um total de quatro amortecedores de frame é usado recebendo e transmitindo dados e ao codec. A invenção atual permite também o interoperability entre os modem do ADSL que usam 128 tons e os aqueles que usam 256 tons.
