The invention relates to a ready-to-use binary gaseous mixture containing 63.1 to 69.9% by volume of helium and the remainder being oxygen, preferably a mixture of 65% of helium and of 35% of oxygen, and its use in the treatment of asthma, of obstructive bronchopneumopathies and the like. Such a gaseous mixture can be used as a vector or propellant gas for medicinal aerosols, in particular aerosols containing a therapeutically effective substance chosen from .beta..sub.2 -mimetics, corticoids and anticholinergics.

De uitvinding heeft op een gebruiksklaar binair gasachtig mengsel betrekking dat 63,1 tot 69,9% in volume van helium en de rest bevat die zuurstof, bij voorkeur een mengsel van 65% van helium en van 35% van zuurstof, en zijn gebruik in de behandeling van astma, van obstructieve bronchopneumopathies en dergelijke is. Een dergelijk gasachtig mengsel kan als vector of propellant gas voor geneeskrachtige aërosols die, in het bijzonder aërosols worden gebruikt een therapeutisch efficiënte substantie bevatten die van beta..sub.2 wordt gekozen - mimetics, corticoids en anticholinergics.
