There are provided a novel herbicidal composition and method for controlling weeds, the composition comprising the uracil herbicide of Compound A ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or halogen; R.sup.2 represents halogen or cyano; R.sup.3 represents C.sub.1-4 alkyl; R.sup.4 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1-5 acyl, or benzoyl which may be substituted with R.sup.5 which represents one to five substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, and C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of flurilazole (Compound B), diclonon (Compound C), MON 4660 (Compound D), and benoxacor (Compound E): ##STR2##
