A method for reducing food intake in a subject and a method for reducing the levels of an endocrine in a subject comprising administering to the subject in need thereof an effective amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein A is alkenyl, and each of R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c and R.sup.d is herein defined.
