The invention relates to the use of surfactant mixtures, comprising (a) anionic and/or nonionic surfactants and (b) water soluble .beta.-(1,3) glucans, which are substantially free of .beta.-(1,6) links. Said mixtures are used to produce oral hygiene and dental hygiene products in particulars, toothpastes. The preparations are characterized in that the mucous membranes in the mouth have a particularly high degree of tolerability with regard thereto, by exhibiting exceptional foaming properties and a stable distribution of the abrasive substances.

L'invention concerne l'utilisation des mélanges d'agent tensio-actif, comportant (a) les agents tensio-actifs anioniques et/ou non ioniques et (b) les glucanes hydrosolubles de beta.-(1,3), qui sont essentiellement exempts de liens de beta.-(1,6). Lesdits mélanges sont employés pour produire l'hygiène orale et les produits dentaires d'hygiène notamment, pâtes dentifrices. Les préparations sont caractérisées parce que les membranes muqueuses dans la bouche ont un degré de tolérabilité particulièrement élevé avec le respect là-dessus, en exhibant des propriétés écumantes exceptionnelles et une distribution stable des substances abrasives.
