There is disclosed a method of treating male impotence in a person in need of such treatment, which comprises enhancing the effectiveness of the person's immune system by the administration to such person of an effective amount of at least one water-soluble aminoacid represented by formula (I) X--C.sub.n H.sub.2n --CR(NH.sub.2)COOH (I) wherein X represents a hydrogen atom (H) or a carbamoyl group (CONH.sub.2), R is hydrogen or a methyl (CH.sub.3) group, and n is a whole number from 1 to 4.

È rilevato un metodo di trattare il impotence maschio in una persona necessitante tale trattamento, che contiene l'aumento dell'efficacia del sistema immune della persona tramite la gestione a tale persona di una quantità efficace almeno di un aminoacid solubile in acqua rappresentato dalla formula (i) X -- C.sub.n H.sub.2n -- CR(NH.sub.2)COOH (i) in cui la X rappresenta un atomo dell'idrogeno (H) o un gruppo di carbamoyl (CONH.sub.2), R è idrogeno o un gruppo metilico (CH.sub.3) e la n è un numero intero da 1 a 4.
