The present invention relates to new orthoester-based block polymers having a good antifoaming effect in liquid aqueous systems. The compounds are easily biologically degradable and, compared with traditional block polymers, have a comparatively high cloud point, which makes them readily compatible with other compounds and facilitates the formulation of homogeneous compositions. The new polymers are characterized in that they contain a block of at least 4 alkyleneoxy groups having 3 and/or 4 carbon atoms.

Die anwesende Erfindung bezieht auf den neuen orthoester-gegründeten Blockpolymer-Plastiken, die einen guten schaumhemmenden Effekt in den flüssigen wäßrigen Systemen haben. Die Mittel sind leicht und, verglichen mit traditionellen Blockpolymer-Plastiken biologisch abbaubar, haben einen verhältnismässig hohen Nebelungspunkt, der sie bereitwillig kompatibel mit anderen Mitteln bildet und die Formulierung des homogenen Aufbaus erleichtert. Die neuen Polymer-Plastiken werden dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie einen Block von mindestens 4 alkyleneoxy Gruppen enthalten, die 3 und/oder 4 Kohlenstoffatome haben.
