An electroacoustic transducer of a horn loudspeaker emits sound, which is supplied through a sound conduit pipe to a horn and propagated out of the horn through a mouth of the horn. The sound conduit pipe is coupled to the horn via a rectangular opening in the upper one of the upper and lower walls forming the horn, to thereby provide a linear sound source for the loudspeaker. The location where the sound conduit pipe is coupled to the horn and/or the tilt angle of the sound conduit pipe with respect to the horn may be varied to control the sound radiation characteristic of the loudspeaker.

Een electroacoustic omvormer van een hoornluidspreker zendt geluid uit, dat door een correcte buispijp aan een hoorn wordt geleverd en uit de hoorn door een mond van de hoorn verspreid. De correcte buispijp wordt aan de hoorn via het rechthoekige openen in hogere één van de hogere en lagere muren gekoppeld die de hoorn vormen, daardoor een lineaire geluidsbron voor de luidspreker verstrekken. De plaats waar de correcte buispijp aan de hoorn en/of de schuine standhoek van de correcte buispijp met betrekking tot de hoorn wordt gekoppeld kan worden gevarieerd om de correcte straling te controleren kenmerkend van de luidspreker.
