The invention concerns the use in a cosmetic composition of at least a poly-aminoacid of general formula (1) in which X is --O--, --S-- or --NR.sub.3 ; R.sub.1 represents in particular a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 14 C.sub.40 alkyl radical; R.sub.2 represents in particular a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyl radical; R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom or a radical such as NH.sub.2, OH, SH, --CHOHCH.sub.3, --CONH.sub.2 ; n is a number greater than 1 such that the poly-aminoacid derivative molecular weight ranges between 200 and 200000. The invention also concerns the use of said derivatives for keratinous fibre strengthening and care. ##STR1## (I)

De uitvinding betreft het gebruik in een kosmetische samenstelling van minstens een poly-aminozuur van algemene formule (1) waarin X o --, --S -- is of -- NR.sub.3; R.sub.1 vertegenwoordigt in het bijzonder een waterstofatoom of een C.sub.1 14 alkyl basis C.sub.40; R.sub.2 vertegenwoordigt in het bijzonder een waterstofatoom of een naar keuze gesubstitueerde alkyl basis; R.sub.3 vertegenwoordigt een waterstofatoom of een alkyl basis; R.sub.4 vertegenwoordigt een waterstofatoom of een basis zoals NH.sub.2, SH OH, -- CHOHCH.sub.3, -- CONH.sub.2; n is een aantal groter dan 1 dusdanig dat het poly-aminozuur afgeleide moleculegewicht zich tussen 200 en 200000 uitstrekt. De uitvinding betreft ook het gebruik van bovengenoemde derivaten voor het keratinous vezel versterken en zorg. ## STR1 ## (I)
