The invention relates to mesotubes and nanotubes (hollow fibers) having an inner diameter of 10 nm-50 .mu.m and to a method for the production thereof. The hollow fibers can be produced by coating degradable materials with non-degradable materials, whereby the degradable materials are destroyed by thermal methods, for instance. The hollow fibers are used in separation technology, catalysis, micro-electronics, medical technology, material technology or in the clothing industry.

A invenção relaciona-se aos mesotubes e aos nanotubes (fibras ocas) que têm um diâmetro interno do mu.m 10 nm-50 e a um método para a produção disso. As fibras ocas podem ser produzidas revestindo materiais degradable com os materiais non-non-degradable, por meio de que os materiais degradable são destruídos por métodos térmicos, por exemplo. As fibras ocas são usadas na tecnologia da separação, catalysis, microeletrônica, tecnologia médica, tecnologia material ou na indústria de roupa.
