The invention describes a composite material comprising a substrate having, on at least one of its faces, an impact-resistant primer layer and at least one abrasion-resistant coating layer deposited on the primer layer. The primer layer is obtained by applying, to the surface to be treated, a latex consisting of structured particles of polymers having a range with a "soft" character (T.sub.g <20.degree. C.) and another range with a "hard" character (T.sub.g >50.degree. C.). The composite material described is intended for various industries, such as the automobile industry (windows, headlights, etc.), the building industry (windows) or the sanitaryware industry.

L'invention décrit une matière composite comportant un substrat ayant, sur au moins un de ses visages, une couche résistant aux chocs d'amorce et au moins une couche enduisante abrasion-résistante déposée sur la couche mieux habillée. La couche mieux habillée est obtenue en s'appliquant, à la surface à traiter, un latex se composant des particules structurées des polymères ayant une gamme avec un caractère de "doux" (T.sub.g 50.degree. C.). La matière composite décrite est prévue pour différentes industries, telles que l'industrie d'automobile (fenêtres, phares, etc.), industrie du bâtiment (fenêtres) ou industrie de sanitaryware.
