The present invention relates to a process for regenerating a catalyst for the cyclizing hydrolysis of an aminonitrile for the manufacture of lactams. It relates more particularly to the regeneration of the solid catalysts used in the processes for producing lactams by the cyclizing hydrolysis of aminonitriles. This regeneration process consists in treating the spent catalyst or the catalyst at the end of the cycle at a temperature of between 300.degree. C. and 600.degree. C. with an oxidizing atmosphere.

La presente invenzione riguarda un procedimento per la rigenerazione del catalizzatore per l'idrolisi cyclizing di un aminonitrile per la fabbricazione di lattami. Si riferisce più specialmente alla rigenerazione dei catalizzatori solidi usati nei processi per produrre i lattami tramite l'idrolisi cyclizing dei aminonitriles. Questo processo di rigenerazione è costituito nel trattare il catalizzatore speso o il catalizzatore all'estremità del ciclo ad una temperatura tra compreso 300.degree. C. e 600.degree. C. con un atmosfera d'ossidazione.
