A method for evaluating a presentation layer data unit wherein, in order to
evaluate a presentation layer data unit, which contains
application-oriented messages that are coded according to a predefined
coding protocol and destined for at least one application process running
on a Q3 platform, and which is received via an association established on
a Q3 interface between the Q3 platform and a partner Q3 platform, the Q3
platform checks the format of the data unit for compliance with the coding
protocol. Provided there are no errors in the coding, the user data
contained in the data unit is decoded, the application-oriented messages
are determined, and these messages are forwarded to the appropriate
application process(es). However, if an error concerning the user data is
detected in the coding, then the evaluation is terminated and a
corresponding error report is sent to the application process concerned.
This application process then generates an error response to the coding
error in the form of an application error message, and sends it to the
partner Q3 platform.
Eine Methode für das Auswerten einer Darstellungsschicht-Dateneinheit, worin, um eine Darstellungsschicht-Dateneinheit auszuwerten, die anwendungsorientierte Anzeigen enthält, die entsprechend einem vorbestimmten kodierenprotokoll und bestimmt für mindestens einen Anwendungsprozeß kodiert werden, der auf einer Plattform Q3 läuft und die über eine Verbindung empfangen wird, die auf einer Schnittstelle Q3 zwischen der Plattform Q3 und einer Plattform des Partners Q3 hergestellt wird, überprüft die Plattform Q3 das Format der Dateneinheit auf Befolgung mit dem Kodierungprotokoll. Vorausgesetzt es keine Störungen in der Kodierung gibt, werden die Benutzerdaten, die in der Dateneinheit enthalten werden, decodiert, werden die anwendungsorientierten Anzeigen festgestellt, und diese Anzeigen werden zum passenden Anwendung process(es) nachgeschickt. Jedoch wenn eine Störung hinsichtlich ist der Benutzerdaten in der Kodierung ermittelt wird, dann die Auswertung wird beendet und ein entsprechender Störung Report wird zum betroffenen Anwendungsprozeß geschickt. Dieser Anwendungsprozeß erzeugt dann einen Leerblock zur Kodierungstörung in Form einer Anwendung Fehlermeldung und schickt ihn zur Plattform des Partners Q3.
